The folks at Granville have been busy again and are pleased to announce the release of the latest addition to their growing Hypalube range. Hypalube PD 5W/40 is formulated to meet the requirements of VW 505.01 for use in Pumpe Duse engines.

Pumpe Duse (PD), or 'pump nozzle' systems as the English translates, works on the principle of being able to deliver fuel at a very high pressure from an electric pump into the combustion chamber from individual injectors driven by the camshaft and, as opposed to the traditional Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) engine, the system allows full control over the timing, pressure and duration and giving better control of the injection cycle and is said to provide more torque and power and is less pollutant, more economical and efficient.

As with all engine systems, it's important to use the right oil to make sure it's kept in good working order. That's why the folks at Granville have developed the new Hypalube PD 5W/40. It has been specifically designed with PD engines in mind with the addition of additives to help protect the delicate parts of your Pumpe Duse engine which could fail without proper lubrication.
